Yashica Explorer Is The First Dual-screen, Full-color, Night Vision Goggles (Yes, It Is Wearable!)

Yashica Explorer Dual Screen Night Vision Device

Yashica may have faded into the background when it comes to cameras but it is trying to be relevant in other ways. It did not just try. The company is on fire. Of late, the 75-year-old imaging equipment brand has collaborated with I’m Back for the smallest mirrorless camera, as well as democratizing night vision with Yashica Vision. It is not stopping there. It has just launched a new night vision device which it calls Yashica Explorer.

The Yashica Explorer is a full-color night vision device that brings clarity to your nighttime adventures. Unlike traditional night vision, which often produces grainy, green-tinted images, the Explorer uses OLED + square TFT screens and a high-quality F/1.0 lens to deliver crisp, full-color views even in low light.

You can easily switch between viewing angles and capture high-resolution 48MP photos or 4K videos, making it an ideal tool for outdoor enthusiasts, security professionals, and anyone who needs clear documentation in challenging conditions.

Weighing only 430g (0.95 lbs or 15.2 oz.), it’s light enough for extended use without causing discomfort, and it’s designed for both handheld and helmet-mounted configurations. Versatility of use is the name of the game with the new Yashica Explorer.

The removable 3500 mAh battery provides up to 11 hours of use, with the option to carry spares for longer sessions. The built-in IR illuminator allows you to see up to 600 meters (1,969 feet) in complete darkness, with a digital anti-shake feature ensuring stable, blur-free images. With its rugged IP65 certification, it’s built to handle the elements.

If you are interested, you may learn more on Kickstarter where you can also pre-order a unit for between 1,863 HKD (about US$239) and 1,941 HKD (about US$249) for early adopters. It is offered with some cool accessories to make the most out of this super high-tech night vision device.
