Put your black card away. Not because we didn’t think you can afford the new 2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage but because all 333 units have been spoken for. It was on closed book order but it got sold out in a jiffy. The demand is fueled by the fact that it is the last of the Vantage to be powered by a 5.2L V12 Twin Turbo engine.
The engine produces 700 PS (690 HP) and turns out 753 Nm (555 lb-ft) of torque, which makes the 2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage the most powerful Vantage ever.
It is the fastest Vantage too with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h) and 0-60 mph (97 km/h) sprint in 3.4 seconds – enabled by a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, which benefits from a unique transmission calibration to enhance shift speeds (with learnings taken from the V12 Speedster and Vantage F1 Edition models), and a rear-mounted mechanical Limited-Slip Differential (LSD).
It is faster, thanks in part to the extensive use of weight-saving materials including lightweight battery, extensive use of carbon fiber, carbon-ceramic brakes, and thinner exhaust material.
The car further boasts a widebody design with 40 mm wider track, stiffer suspension, new adaptive damping, new bracing structure, and a ton of aerodynamic enhancements like a full-width front splitter, integrated diffuser – which is also of CF, btw, – and a new rear wing that boasts over 200 kg (441 lbs) of downforce at 200 mph.
The 2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage was snapped up promptly when it was first confirmed last December. Production of the car is due to start in Q1 2022 with first deliveries expected to happen in Q2 2022.
