Limited Edition Aston Martin V12 Speeder Revealed

Geneva International Motor Show is cancelled and so Aston Martin has went ahead to unveil its new roadster at its Gaydon HQ. It is called V12 Speedster and speedster it certainly is, with the car wiping the century sprint (0-62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds, sending it on its way to a top speed top of 300 kph (186 mph).

Not that any one will enjoy being whack in the face by the wind and bugs at that kind of speed, but it sure is capable of reaching that mind-bending speed. Oh, yeah, did mention that it lacks of a roof AND windscreen? Well, it has none of those. That, my friends, is Aston Martin’s concept of puristic ride.

Its front mid-mounted 5.2L V12 twin turbo engine’s 700 horsepower and 753 Nm (555.38 lb-ft) of torque are put to good use at the rear wheels through a ZF 8 automatic gearbox and limited slip differential.

Other highlights include:

●A bespoke body constructed almost entirely from carbon fiber
    ●Independent double wishbone front
●Multi-link rear suspension with coil springs
●Adaptive damping offering Sport, Sport+ and Track modes
●21-inch forged centre lock alloy wheels
●Carbon Ceramic Brakes 410mm front and and 360mm rear
    ●Enlarged grille and hood nostrils
●Removable leather bag in place of a traditional glove box
●Additional storage space under the rear bumps for luggage
●An interior featuring structural satin carbon fiber, traditional hand-crafted Saddle Leather, chrome, aluminum and 3D printed rubber

Orders are now being taken for the V12 Speedster, with pricing starting at £765,000 (or around US$985,000+, but we heard its $900,000 in N.A.) including VAT and deliveries are expected to happen in first quarter of 2021. But don’t procrastinate even for a bit though because, only 88 units are up for grab.
