Say Goodbye to Drift: ROG Raikiri II Turns Thumbs Into Weapons

ASUS ROG Raikiri II Xbox Wireless Controller

When it comes to controllers, most of us just want something that doesn’t die mid-boss fight or drift like it’s Tokyo Drift on easy mode. Enter the ASUS ROG Raikiri II Xbox Wireless controller, which sounds like a ninja sword but is actually a gadget that lets you humiliate your friends with frightening precision. This thing isn’t just another controller; it’s practically a weaponized extension of your thumbs.

Specs-wise, it packs tri-mode connectivity (USB-C, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth), so it’ll run on your Xbox Series X|S, PC, or the ROG Ally without fuss. On PC, it flexes a 1,000 Hz polling rate for ultra-low latency, while ROG SpeedNova wireless keeps things snappy.

Meanwhile, the TMR joysticks boast anti-drift and sip less power than Hall Effect ones, so no accidental 360s mid-snipe. Add in dual-mode triggers that flip between micro-switch clicks and full-travel pulls, plus four programmable rear buttons for that unfair edge.

Battery life goes up to 30 hours on 2.4 GHz wireless (RGB off, naturally), and ASUS even throws in a charging stand, travel case with passthrough charging, and two swappable joystick caps. It’s ergonomic, tactile, and unapologetically overkill.

No official word on the price yet, but if it makes you forget what “controller drift” even means, maybe it’s worth every dime.
