Have you ever looked at a carton of milk and thought, “That would make a great Bluetooth speaker”? No? Well, someone at Nothing apparently did. And that’s how we ended up with the new CMF Speaker S and Speaker M, two portable Bluetooth speakers inspired by the humble milk carton. No kidding. Nothing actually says so.
Both speakers sport sharp geometric lines, removable panels for customization, and a physical knob for controlling playback and volume. The smaller Speaker S comes with a carabiner hook, while the larger Speaker M has a built-in carrying handle. The speakers are available in Turquoise, Dark Grey, White, and Orange.
The Speaker S is the more portable of the two, measuring 130.5 × 85 × 44 mm (5.14 × 3.35 × 1.73 inches) and weighing 334 g (11.8 oz). It packs a 45 mm full-range driver, two passive radiators, and 10 W of output power.
Meanwhile, the Speaker M measures 220 × 85 × 54 mm (8.66 × 3.35 × 2.13 inches), weighs 602 g (21.2 oz), and features a two-driver setup comprising a 70 mm woofer and a 16 mm tweeter, delivering a combined 35 W of output.
Despite their different sizes, both promise up to 18 hours of playback, IP68 dust and water resistance, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC pairing, and USB-C audio with latency below 60 ms. A 10-minute charge also provides an hour of playback.
They support dual-device connections, customizable EQ through the Nothing X app, and stereo pairing with another matching speaker. Auracast Party Mode lets you link compatible speakers for a bigger sound.
So, whether you’re heading to the beach or simply want something unusual on your desk, CMF has you covered. Just don’t accidentally put one in the refrigerator. That said. If you cannot find it around the house, perhaps you may want to check the fridge. Lol.
The CMF Speaker S and Speaker M are listed on Nothing’s US store at US$59 and US$109, respectively, currently discounted to US$49 and US$89.
