Age Old Question Of Whether A Cat Actually Rubs Its Butthole All Over The House Answered

Does Cat’s Butthole Touches Everything

When I saw this report. I knew I had to post this. Why? Because, that has been a question in my mind since I was a teen. I mean, seeing how our pet feline friends can access more areas than fido does, it is a valid question. Imagine if a cat does rub his or her anus on your pillow – the fluffy that put your face on at night… enough said.

Anywho, a sixth grade student by the name of Kaeden Griffin in Tennessee finally answered this burning question that you and I begs for an answer but were probably too shy to ask.

Griffin answered the question if a cat rub its butthole all over the house. As per WRAT (via boing boing), Griffin applied non-toxic lipstick on his cats’ butthole and then, the study begins. He start to track where lipstick stain showed up around the house and the conclusion he draw?

“Cats with long and medium hair didn’t make any contact with hard or soft surfaces.

Cats with short hair didn’t make contact with hard surfaces . . . but there were smears of lipstick on soft surfaces like the bed.”

Well, so now you know. It is kind of a good and bad news. Good news if you have a long or medium haired cat(s), not so good news if you have shot haired cat(s).

Not going to lie, the last part struck, “smears of lipstick on soft surfaces like the bed” me a lot. A bed is where the pillows are, isn’t it and so… ugh.
