Dogfish Head Lo-Cal IPA Set To Be Available In 44 States By End Of August

Dogfish Head Slightly Mighty IPA

Chugging down beers in the afternoon is just a strange thing to do, but not when it is summer and for that reason, there is the Dogfish Head Slightly Mighty IPA. For the benefit of the uninitiated, IPA stands for India Pale Ale. It is a hoppy style of beer under the pale ale category and despite its moniker, IPA did not originated in India. It was brewed in England way back in the 19th century.

Slightly Mighty is hailed as the first true lo-cal IPA, a full-flavored, tasty beer that is light on calories and carbs. All told, it weight in at just 95 calories, 3.6g carbs and 4 percent ABV. And it has just a gram of protein and non of the fat. The lo-cal IPA was made possible by using monk fruit instead of extra malts during the brewing process.

This tweak in the brewing process result in a perfect beer for any IPA lover who doesn’t fancy drinking only 8 percent tallboys. Basically, you can drink more before you breach your threshold of nonsensical talks. This also means, you get to savor the taste and actually knows it without your mind getting all muggy from you know what.

Here are the tasting notes:

Color: Hazy Gold
Aroma: Tropical, pineapple, coconut, mango and citrus
Flavors: Fruity with a balanced hop profile
Mouthfeel: Light bodied and crisp

Dogfish Head Slightly Mighty IPA will be available across 44 states Dogfish Head distributes to by the end of August. It will be available in 6-pack and 12-pack 12 oz. (350 ml) cans as well as on draft. So, IPA lovers, take note. Damn. For some reason, I am getting thirsty just writing about this.
