The company, best known for its custom luxury Land Rover and Jaguar restorations, just unveiled “Project Kalorado.” It’s a fancy soft-top Defender 110, tailor-made for life in the Colorado mountains. This unique beast comes with a hefty GM 6.2 L V8 engine, ensuring it’s ready for any rugged adventure.

The team at ECD Auto Design takes 25-year-old Defenders and jazzes them up with everything from custom paint jobs to the latest tech upgrades. “Project Kalorado” showcases this with a 50-state compliant engine, a 6-speed automatic transmission, 16-inch Wolf wheels, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires perfect for navigating Colorado’s terrain.

The Defender’s look is classic yet snazzy, with a Brooklands Green body and a light tan canvas top. It’s spacious enough for ski trips or summer paddleboarding with eight seats, heated Puma Classic seats wrapped in Hazelnut leather, and loads of modern amenities like JLAudio speakers, CarPlay, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and even a backup camera and sensor.
