Land Rover Set To Restored The 70-Year-Old Original 4×4 Prototype

Jaguar Land Rover group has an interesting project planned for 2018. The company has found one of the three original pre-production prototypes 4×4 that made their debut at the Amsterdam Motor Show in 1948. The vehicle was apparently bought by someone in the 60s and when it was found, it was in such a dilapidated state that it took a team of experts at Jaguar Land Rover Classic months poring over the archives to determine that it is indeed the long lost vehicle, the vehicle that started it all. As part of the group’s 70th anniversary in 2018, the group will embark on a year-long meticulous restoration progress to bring the 48’ prototype back to its former glory. This is it. The much anticipated entrant to the EV market BYTON’s first EV has finally been unveiled in Las Vegas, at the CES 2018. So, as speculated/guessed, it is indeed a SUV. No model name is associated it, though. The China-based EV maker simply refers to it as a ‘Concept’, but from the looks of it, it is hardly a concept; it looks like it is destined to roll off the company’s Nanjing plant in due course. Anyways, expect this mid-size “premium” SUV with sweeping roofline to be offered with two power options: a 200 kW single motor rear-wheel drive model with 400 Nm of torque and a 350 kW dual motor-equipped four-wheel drive model that turns out 710 Nm of torque. Meet The World’s First Super Sport Utility Vehicle, The Lamborghini Urus

In what was arguably the biggest news today, luxury sport car maker Lamborghini has officially make its return to SUV market with the much anticipated Urus. That’s right. The Urus has broke cover today at Sant’Agata Bolognese. When it did so, it completely rewrite the SUV rule book and proudly stake claim as the world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle (SSUV). Yep. This Is What A Bombproof, Flatpack SUV For The Military Looks Like

Flatpack and SUV are like oil and water. They will never ever mix, or at least that’s what we thought. However, one Russian engineer, Dr. Juri E Postnikov set out to prove us wrong with a somewhat toy-ish-looking SUV which he calls Partisan One. Partisan Motors is the company he founded that makes this unusually square-ish vehicle that somehow reminds us of Spongebob and clearly, Partisan One won’t be the prettiest on the trails, much less the roads. With the desire to create a vehicle which can be deployed to the battlefield quickly and efficiently, Dr. Juri came up with the idea of flatpack SUV and being this awkwardly squarish is the direct result of its flatpack nature. According to the horse’s mouth, the total yield from the P400e PHEV is 404 PS (or 297 kW which works out to be 398 HP). Now, at this point, keen eye readers probably noted the discrepancy in numbers. Me too, but don’t ask me why, really. I spent the last five minutes brooding over this and I still don’t get it. Continue reading New Range Rover Is Not Just Luxurious, But It Is Silent Too
