Sokol ATV Phantom PRO version 4x4 Rosomaha Quad Bike

At which do we stop calling a motorcycle with four wheels a quad bike and start calling it a truck or supercar? It might seem like a ridiculous question, but let me assure you it is a valid question once you’ve seen the Sokol ATV. Originating from Russia, a country with one of the harshest terrains in the world, the Sokol ATV isn’t just any ATV clad in a regular SUV or truck body; it’s a quad bike and a very, very, very huge one. How big it is? Well, it is car-size.

It’d be a Monster Quadbike because I think it is exactly that – thanks to the oversized quadbike body and monster-size wheels and tires. It stands 1.8 meters tall, is 2.1 meters wide (which is wider than many small vehicles, by the way), and stretches a longer-than-most-compact-car length of 3.2 meters.

The Phantom PRO version 4×4 Rosomaha Quad Bike showcased here is one of the many models from Sokol ATV, and I reckon it’s the largest available on the Russian ATV website. It’s powered by a Toyota 1NZ-FE engine, a 1.8L inline-four motor producing a healthy 140 horsepower, paired with a 4AT gearbox.

Unlike most quadbikes, which are two-wheel drive, this beast is equipped with 4×4 and seats 1+2 passengers. It weighs 1,150 kilograms (2,535 lbs) and has a cargo capacity of 500 kilograms (1,102 lbs).

The Phantom PRO version 4×4 Rosomaha Quad Bike is engineered for transporting people and cargo across various terrains, even towing a trailer. Thanks to its ultra-low-pressure tires, not even water can halt this behemoth.

The model comes equipped with rear and front cargo racks, tow bars with quick-release features at both ends, a plastic trunk, LED lights, a pneumatic axle lock, radiator protection, an electric winch, and gas-oil shock absorbers, among other features.

While most Sokol ATVs listed on Russian-suv.com are marked as out of stock, the Sokol ATV Phantom PRO version 4×4 Rosomaha Quad Bike is available for reservation for US$30,000. But just a heads up: while I’m pretty excited about this product, I cannot verify the credibility of the website it’s on. So, you definitely want to take a look for yourself before diving in.
