FloatTV Lets You Watch TV At Anywhere In Your Home

FloatTV Smart TV on Wheels

Here’s a TV for folks who have wished that they could change a place to watch TV. Called FloatTV, it lets you watch TV anywhere you choose with no cords attached. It is a wireless TV that is battery-powered, thus ensuring that it is 100% wireless, and also, it has wheels.

The FloatTV is not merely a smart TV on a stand with wheels; it is a self-locking stand with unlimited adjustability for a variety of viewing angles, thus allowing you to achieve the perfect viewing angle whether you are lying down on the bed, lazing on a couch, or just sitting down at your dining table.

The stand offers 360° of rotation, a 90° viewing angle range, plus 25 cm (9.8 inches) of vertical adjustment. FloatTV has a wireless design, boasting both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and comes outfitted with a built-in battery that is good for up to 5 hours on a single charge.

So, yeah, yet another thing to charge but I guess you could say you’d be suffering short for 5 hours of wired-free freedom.

Tell me this isn’t a dream come true for many folks…

The wheels tucked under the sleek circular base are not just castors; it has a penta-wheel design that offers stability when traversing carpet and hard floors.

In the visual department, FloatTV promises cinematic quality with its 1080p 75 Hz nano IPS panel in a 16:9 aspect ratio supplied by LG. The display further features 100% sRGB true natural colors, 8bit color, and 1 ms GTG response time which means it is great for fast pace action movies as well as for gaming.

The TV is an Android-based touchscreen with a built-in streaming app. It can be used in both landscape or portrait orientation, and also it functions as a computer monitor which, with the multi-touch support, allows you to work efficiently with documents or designs, touching to enlarge drawings and whatnot.

The FloatTV is expected to be available through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter where you will be able to secure a unit at an early bird price of US$499.

You may sign up to be notified when the campaign goes live.
