Google has introduced the Pixel Tag, an Android answer to the AirTag for locating keys, bags, luggage, and anything else that develops legs whenever you are late.
The 28 x 46.1 x 5.4 mm (1.1 x 1.8 x 0.2 inches) tracker weighs 11.8 g (0.4 oz) and uses Google’s Find Hub network. Bluetooth 6 Channel Sounding provides distance estimates on compatible devices, while Ultra-Wideband adds directional Precision Finding. A built-in speaker helps nearby searches, and pressing the tag can ring your missing phone. Items can be shared with up to 10 people.
Its IP67 body comes only in Fog and uses a replaceable CR2032 battery rated for up to one year.
Pixel Tag launches November 11 for US$29 each or US$99 per four-pack.
