HasLab’s Latest Project Is The G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Rattler Ground Attack Jet!

HasLab G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Rattler Ground Attack Jet

Here are some words for fans of G.I. Joe: you may soon need an entire room for your G.I. Joe collection because, at the rate HasLab is going, it is a matter of time before a 6-inch scale, collectible USS Flagg becomes a reality. OK. I may have exaggerated but you get the idea. Joining the 6-inch scale G.I. Joe collection is Cobra’s answer to the Joe’s Assault Copter Dragon, the HasLab G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Rattler Ground Attack Jet.

Yes. It is a mouthful but it is absolutely gorgeous. Announced at the San Diego Comic-Con, the HasLab G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Rattler Ground Attack Jet is the mayhem from the air designed to obliterate everything the Joe’s has on the ground. Like G.I. Joe’s previous HasLab set, this collectible vehicle is huge.

It measures 33.53 inches (851.78 mm) long—that’s over 2 and a half feet long from nose to tail if anyone’s counting. With the wheels down, it stands 9.88 inches (250.9 mm) tall and has a wingspan of 32.04 inches (357.71 mm) across. It is carrier-ready with fold-up wings, making it a little more shelf space friendlier.

The aircraft is based on the real-life A-10 Thunderbolt but with the VTOL capability. The wings can be manually pivoted for vertical take-off and landing pose. It has a three-jet turbine setup instead of two on the A10, and it definitely is a lot more hellish in the firepower department—highlighted by a Gunner Turret on top of the fuselage.

The Gunner Turret features a hinged canopy, a 3-point harness, an illuminated targeting HUD, and an articulated control stick. The turret of the Twin 20MM Multiple-Fire Cannon accessories rotates 360 degrees, and the barrels pivot up and down in unison enabling a Gunner to strafe enemy combatants with ease and deadly precision.

The HasLab G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Rattler Ground Attack Jet further features a stowable boarding ladder with a foot peg and a two-part canopy that hinges up for access to the artificial snake-skin pilot seat, state-of-the-art controls, and illuminated Heads-Up Display (HUD). The cockpit, which can accommodate most Classified Series figures, further boasts a 3-point harness, articulated control stick, and throttle.

And yes, light-up features come standard. At the push of a single button, you can control the lighting features of the Cobra Rattler, turning on landing lights, the cockpit instrument panel display, as well as the separate Gunner Turret HUD. It also illuminates the cockpit Damage Warning Indicator and flick-ering battle damage as revealed by the swappable armor hull plating.

The aircraft comes with a pilot, a premium deco, articulated Wild Weasel. In addition, it is a supplied with myriad of armaments, like missiles, rockets, and bombs, along with a dizzying number of effect parts and a flight stand capable of displaying the weaponry.

The HasLab campaign which kicked off on July 25 has already met its funding goal of 9,000 backers. Moving forward, it has 45 days to gather more backers to unlock the extended goals, which include Cobra Airborne Squadron Patches, G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Rattler Gunner, and pilot Baroness 6-inch scale action figures. The HasLab G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Rattler Ground Attack Jet has an asking price of US$324.99
