Having featured so many LEGO Botanicals sets, we are kind of suffering from botanical fatigue. The sets we were told were arriving in 2026 were not all LEGO had lined up for the year. But recently introduced sets like the Dark Flower Arrangement and Olivia Rodrigo’s Flower Bouquet may have made the sense of repetition harder to ignore. Then the LEGO Botanicals Hanging Golden Pothos (11512) came along and broke the monotony.
The LEGO Botanicals Hanging Golden Pothos stood out because it is a vine-type plant as opposed to the LEGO Botanicals sets that either feature flowers or are self-supporting plants. This also makes 11512 the first vine-type LEGO Botanicals set, and hence, it deserves our attention. In the real-world, the Golden Pothos is a trailing plant with stems that hang down over the edge of a pot, which is exactly what this set recreates.
From the product images, it looks very convincing and uniquely different from the colorful LEGO Botanicals sets. Moreover, it offers two ways to display it: on a shelf or in a corner nook. For the latter, you can build it with two vines that hang past the bottom of the pot, and for the former, with four identical vines to fit on a table.
But that’s the “manufacturer-suggested design.” This being a LEGO set, you are free to exercise your creativity. That said, all the leaves—which come in two shades of green—and stems are movable, so you can customize the appearance. The plant is complete with a buildable plant pot and pot stand.
Like the rest of the collection, this is the perfect “plant” for gardening enthusiasts who are too lazy to do any real work maintaining a plant. It may not offer you O₂ during the day, and you do need to dust it as time passes, but it sure beats the dreadful watering and its constant demand for sunlight.
