LEGO Sets Sail With Shackleton: The Endurance Ship For Your Coffee Table (Or Shelf)

LEGO Icons The Endurance Ship (10335)

Just in time for winter adventures of the indoor variety, LEGO has launched a detailed replica of the famous Endurance ship, the iconic vessel from Sir Ernest Shackleton’s 1914 Antarctic expedition.

This 3,011-piece set is less about fighting the frozen seas and more about finding your Zen, one tiny brick at a time. The kit includes everything from towering masts and ten full sails to rigging that even the pickiest sailor would appreciate, plus a flying red ensign flag to complete the look.

And unlike the ill-fated original, this Endurance doesn’t come with a side of life-threatening cold—just a sturdy stand for dignified display on a desk, shelf, or coffee table.

A multi-level deck with removable sections gives access to the cabins and steam engine, four lifeboats wait patiently to be launched, and a ship’s wheel actually operates the rudder—because if you’re building a 31.5-inch (80 cm!) ship with 3 towering masts, details matter.

Speaking of size, this is a big guy. Measuring over 18.5 inches (47 cm) high, the Endurance has more than enough space for imagination to take a brisk trip to the Antarctic from the comfort of your living room.

For true history buffs (and LEGO Insiders), LEGO throws in a Shackleton’s Lifeboat model as a gift with purchase during its November 29–December 2 launch window, complete with minifigures of Shackleton himself and photographer Frank Hurley, plus a selection of survival gear accessories. It’s a touch that will surely keep your polar spirits high.

The LEGO Icons The Endurance Ship (10335) building set commands a pretty hefty US$269.99 when it docks at LEGO.com and stores on November 29, 2024, at 12 AM EST.
