Netflix has announced a collaboration with LEGO, and not for a prestige drama or a sci-fi epic, but for KPop Demon Hunters. Yes, that K-pop-meets-demon-slaying movie. The LEGO Group is officially turning Netflix’s supernatural pop spectacle into brick form, which somehow feels inevitable in hindsight.
The collaboration brings the world of KPop Demon Hunters into LEGO building, starting with one product set to be revealed and opened for pre-order this spring. LEGO and Netflix are not stopping there either. Additional sets are already planned for 2027, which suggests this is meant to be a proper theme, not a novelty cameo.
If you have somehow missed it, KPop Demon Hunters follows K-pop superstars HUNTR/X, who spend their downtime not resting, but hunting demons to protect their fans. Their biggest problem is not just supernatural threats, but a rival boy band called the Saja Boys, who also happen to be demons in disguise. Naturally.
The film has been a massive hit for Netflix, racking up over 500 million views since its debut. Its music also did something most fictional bands do not manage, with HUNTR/X topping Billboard’s Hot 100 and “Golden” becoming the first K-pop song to win a Grammy. At that point, LEGO involvement feels like a guaranteed investment. But don’t quote me on this.
The first LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set launches this summer and is designed for ages 9 and up. It recreates one of the movie’s supernatural creatures and is meant to work equally well as a play set or a display piece. The sets arriving in 2027 will expand the universe further with more characters and scenarios.
Pricing for the LEGO KPop Demon Hunters sets is to be announced.
