LG Adds Two More G4s to the Lineup, Promised to be “Exceptionally Priced”

LG G4 Stylus and G4c Smartphones

LG is riding on the fresh wave brought about by its newest flagship LG G4 by introducing two new members of LG G4 series, the G4 Stylus and G4c. Yup. G4 now has its own family. So, if you think something is missing out on the new G4 that doesn’t quite appeal to you, then the G4 Stylus and G4c may be able to make up for it. And that includes addressing the frustration of not having stylus to counter fat fingers or simply to tackle ‘finer’ touchscreen tasks, or perhaps a bigger or smaller display to suit your smartphone usage needs. The G4 Stylus, as the product name suggests, comes equipped with LG’s Rubberdium stylus that allows you to take note and doodle stuff more easily on its larger 5.7 HD IPS display. The G4c on the other hand, shares some of the “premium features and styling” of the flagship G4 but in a more handy package i.e. it has a smaller display.

Common spec-sheet details between the Stylus and c includes a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (Stylus gets the option of 1.4GHz octa-core chip for the 3G model), 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, microSD card slot, a 5MP front-facing camera, plus the usual serving of connectivity and sensors such as 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, A-GPS with GLONASS et cetera. Differentiating the two are the inclusion of the stylus for the G4 Stylus, the physical handset size and of course, the display size, plus the battery capacity. The larger Stylus gets a 3,000 mAh pack, while the compact G4c has a 2,540 mAh pack. Both of which are removable. Additionally, the LTE variant of the Stylus sports a 13MP rear-facing shooter, while the 3G model shares the same 8MP main camera as the G4c. Both devices also support LG’s Knock Code first introduced in the G4, as well as Glance View and Gesture Shot, but only the G4 Stylus will have Laser Auto Focus feature.

The LG G4 Stylus and G4c are slated to launch “in key strategic markets” in coming weeks, but pricing are not known at this point (it will be carrier-dependent). Speaking of which, LG did said that they will be “exceptionally priced.” Though we are not sure what’s their definition of “exceptionally priced.”
