LG G6 Unveiled, Touts “Bold New Display Format” And Researched Ergonomics

16:9 AR, or aspect ratio, displays have been an unspoken standard for smartphones and if consumers are good with this AR, there’s really no need to change it. However LG, arguably the maestro in displays, didn’t think so. The latest flagship, the LG G6, from the electronics giant introduced at the MWC this weekend features a large 5.7-inch QHD+ display with “bold new display format” coming in at 18:9. LG’s calling it Fullvision display, offering users with an eye-watering 2,880 x 1,440 resolution (which works out to 564ppi, if you must really know) that not only offer more viewing space, but also a more immersive experience when consuming multimedia. LG’s New ’Specialist’ Phone Packs A 4,500 mAh Good For 15 Hrs Of Video Playback

Up to today, battery life per charge is still a nagging problem in smartphone. A large screen smartphone can hardly power through weekends, let alone a day without charging. However, LG wants to change that with what the handset maker refer to as “mass-tier” device called LG X power2. LG X power2 is the first mass-tier X series to be unveiled this year. If you recall, the X series was marketed as specialist smartphones when it was first introduced last year, each touting a ‘strong’ feature and this year’s X series is no exception. Speaking of ‘strong’ feature, X power2’s selling point would be its 4,500 mAh battery which, when fully charged, is good for up to 15 hours of video playback, 14 hours of navigational direction, or a whopping 18 hours or so web surfing. If smartwatch is still a thing, then Android Wear is probably the best thing to happen to smartwatches. And if you do swear by Android Wear, well, the good news is, Android Wear 2.0 is finally here, promising to offer you “more informative watch faces, better workouts, new ways to use apps, more ways to stay in touch and on-the-go help from Google Assistant.” With the launch of Android Wear 2.0, Google also announced its partnership with LG to develop first Android Wear 2.0 watches, LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style smartwatches. LG Has A Fridge That Lets See What’s Inside Without Opening The Door

If you find the act of opening a fridge and checking the expiration date of the items you stash in there a chore, well, here’s a good news: LG’s new flagship Door-in-Door fridge, InstaView. maybe just the answer you are looking for. InstaView is exactly what it sounds like: it lets you see through the fridge to see what you have in there without the need to have Superman’s x-ray vision. Just simply knock twice the integrated screen on the left door of refrigerator and voila! the display will present to you a view of the inside. But seeing without opening the fridge is not the only thing it affords you. By using the Smart Tag menu, you can add virtual stickers and tags on the screen to identify what foods are stored and the corresponding expiration date for each item. Bonkers! LG’s New Flagship OLED 4K TV Has A Profile Thinner Than An iPhone 7!

LG describes its new flagship OLED 4K TV, W7, “razor-thin” and they are probably right ‘cause a mere 2.57 mm (that’s 0.101-inch!) profile on a 65-inch behemoth, its edge would equate to a razor’s edge. Seriously, that’s absolutely mind-blowing, more so when you know that its thinner than your iPhone 7. When mounted on the wall with magnetic brackets, which leaves no gap between the TV and the wall, it creates an even more picturesque sight. LG Out UltraFine Displays Designed Specifically For Apple’s New MacBooks

Not everyday you hear news of big competing corporations making products specifically for use with Apple’s products and so, when LG announced a couple of new displays designed specially for the new MacBook and MacBook Pro, it kind of raise some eyebrows. The displays, called UltraFine, come in two sizes: a 27-inch 5K model and a smaller 21.5-inch 4K variety. LG said the former is designed and optimized for the new MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 running macOS 10.12 or later, and with that, it is also the “world’s first” 5K display to tout Thunderbolt 3. The V20, as it is called, is the latest to join the V series lineup of smartphones and this one here promised to elevate your mobile multimedia experience to the next level with features like Steady Record 2.0, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, HD Audio Recorder, front and rear wide-angle lens cameras, and B&O PLAY touched audio reproduction. It also boasts hi-fi video recording with option of manual control to capture “perfect audio quality” aided by Low Cut Filter, as well as Limiter that lets you get rid of annoying background noises and set the recording distance, respectively.
