If you are in the market for a flagship smartphone that has no notch, then the LG V35 ThinQ may be worthy of your consideration. It is a sad fact. That said, the V35 is indeed one rare example, save for the fancy pop up camera Vivo Nex S and Oppo Find X have to offer. Officially unveiled end of May, the LG V35 ThinQ is the latest iteration of the South Korea electronics giant’s V series of “premium multimedia smartphones.” Continue reading LG V35 ThinQ Proves That Edge-to-Edge Display Is Still Great Without Notch

LG G7 Has ThinQ AI And Does Indeed Has The iPhone X Notch Up Top

LG finally took the wrap off its G series flagship after a sneak at the Mobile World Congress in March. I still can’t get over how media did not pick it up back then except for one lone blog. So, here it is, the LG G7. What can we say? It looks so iPhone X. It even has a glass back and has a button-less front, just like the X. Sorry to say that Apple is still the leader in designs. How else do you explain the notch trend? Granted, Apple was not first; it was Essential Phone that started it, but you have to admit that it was Apple that makes it a “trendy” thing. Jang Junyoung’s Disappearing Flat Screen TV Is The Future Of Television

Who else here thinks that a TV is an eyesore in any setting? I guess not many cos’ we have learned to come to terms with what we believe as the “necessary evil.” Well, what considered to be an eyesore to some, will not be anymore with Jang Junyoung’s 55-inch Transparent TV. The designer conceptualized a flatscreen TV with an almost completely transparent display that literally hides the TV in plain sight when not in use. Pretty rad, right? Oh, Look, LG’s Into The Notch Too As Shown By This Purported LG G7 Device

If there were to have a UFO hovering above a populous city, you imagine there would have more than a handful of people who have witnessed it. If you apply the same logic to a device that made a show at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, then more than just a media company would have seen the purported concept LG G7 device code named ‘Neo’, right? Nope. When we first came across the news last week, I was skeptical about its legitimacy. Then, I began digging around for more info, but as it turned out, every article that I have read regarding this purported device was from the same source: Ynet, an Israel tech blog. LG To Unveil “More Advanced” K8 And K10 Android Phones At MWC

At this year’s MWC, LG will also be pushing out two updated series smartphones, the K8 and K10. The new devices is said to close the gap between LG’s price-friendly mass-tier devices and flagships, touting “even more premium features rivaling those of premium flagships. But lets be real, they will not be a threat to any flagship with its 1.5 GHz octacore processor and a 5.3-inch HD in-cell Touch display. Mind you, that’s 720p we are talking about here. TBH, scanning through the specifications, they are really nothing more than beautiful budget phones. Continue reading LG To Unveil “More Advanced” K8 And K10 Android Phones At MWC

LG V30S ThinQ With Integrated AI Made Its Appearance AT MWC 2018

Following the edge-to-edge fad, the next trend in smartphone development has to be artificial intelligence. OK. Perhaps, the LG V30S ThinQ with integrated AI, announced at this year’s Mobil World Congress, is just the second or third device to do so after the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, but we reeasons to believe that handset makers are trying to make smartphone lives up to their name of “smart.” The concept of ThinQ was first introduced to the world at CES earlier this year where LG demonstrated AI in home appliances, consumer electronics and services, but in actual fact, LG has been working on its version of AI, ThingQ, for over a year now to result in a camera and voice recognition focused AI called Vision AI and Voice AI. LG Unveiled Revolutionary Paper-like OLED TV That Rolls Into A Box At CES

If you are old enough, you may be able to recall that in the early days of CRT TVs, some of them came with integrated cabinet that has functional doors (either swing or sliding type). I am not entirely sure what was the rationale behind this TV-in-cabinet (specifically, those with doors), but my best guesses would be, one, to keep children off the TV (because some models actually had lock on them) and two, perhaps to blend with the rest of the home furnishing. Whatever the reasons were, the days of hiding TV behind cabinet was long over, or is it? As it turns out, LG may have inadvertently recreated a similar concept, but with modern OLED display, of course.
