LG Unveiled Revolutionary Paper-like OLED TV That Rolls Into A Box At CES

If you are old enough, you may be able to recall that in the early days of CRT TVs, some of them came with integrated cabinet that has functional doors (either swing or sliding type). I am not entirely sure what was the rationale behind this TV-in-cabinet (specifically, those with doors), but my best guesses would be, one, to keep children off the TV (because some models actually had lock on them) and two, perhaps to blend with the rest of the home furnishing. Whatever the reasons were, the days of hiding TV behind cabinet was long over, or is it? As it turns out, LG may have inadvertently recreated a similar concept, but with modern OLED display, of course. Well, then look forward to LG HU80K series 4K UHD home projectors, the first 4K UHD projector from the South Korea electronic giant that touts versatility in placement and portability, and it also happens to be the recipient of CE’ Best of Innovation award. With the LG HU80K series 4K UHD home projectors, LG broke new ground by introducing a 4K-capable projector that is just half the size of comping 4K projectors, while not sacrificing image quality and perhaps, most importantly, it will be “easier on the wallet.” Though, how much easier, it is not known at this point. LG Turns V30 Into A $1,840 Luxury Device For Those With Money To Burn

Premium ‘luxury’ Android phones are not new, but they are usually the forte of luxury brands like Vertu, Porsche Design, Tag Heuer et cetera with their very specific target market, but a LG? You would hardly think so, but that hasn’t stop the South Korean handset maker from dishing out luxury version of its flagship LG V30. Called LG 30 Signature Edition, this luxe variety of the V30 introduced in September bears a few hallmarks of luxury that qualifies it as a “super” premium phone, including a limited run of just 300 units, zirconium ceramic back cover, option for engraving names, and a higher-than-‘stock’ RAM and onboard storage, coming in at 6 GB and 256 GB. If This Is How The Google Pixel XL 2 Will Look Like, Sign Me Up For One!

We usually don’t do rumors and if we did, it is almost always about Apple iPhone, but looking at how the smartphone industry have shifted so far, you know, Google getting into the hardware making itself, we think it is time that we dish out some rumors on the upcoming Google Pixel 2. Anywho, what you see here is a render based on the rumors and leaks that have been floating around the Internet over the last couple of months, courtesy of Android Police. Whether or not the final device will look like this, it is pretty much anybody’s guess, but we secretly hope it is. If it does really look like, I am all for it and I am not apologetic for being a sucker for design. Continue reading If This Is How The Google Pixel XL 2 Will Look Like, Sign Me Up For One!

LG V30 Smartphone Unveiled, Packs A Boatload Of “Industry Innovations”

I said it before and I will say it again. I never understand the need for handset makers to have more than one flagship. I mean, seriously, it is basically cannibalizing its own market in the name of market share. I guess manufacturers just can’t help it, thanks to a thing called competition-pressure. LG is one such handset makers that caved into the pressure and the new V30 announced at the IFA is the company’s the other flagship that should make you torn in deciding to wait for the next G series or go for the V. I guess it is a good news for fans of the V series. Continue reading LG V30 Smartphone Unveiled, Packs A Boatload Of “Industry Innovations”

LG Unveiled Q8 Smartphone, Touts It As A “Multimedia Powerhouse”

It looks like Huawei is feeling the pinch of selling low-budget devices. According to a report, the Chinese telecommunication equipment maker is revamping the strategy to go “high-end” only, just like the fruity company have been doing all these while. However, not every major handset maker is feeling the heat yet and LG is certainly one of them not feeling the heat. Granted, they do not have as many handset models as Samsung, they are still pretty relentless in trying to fill the perceived segment void. The LG Q8 announced early this week is one good example.
