Attention, kids of the ’80s! Dust off your denim jackets and crank up the synthwave—M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) is making a comeback. No, this isn’t some gritty reboot with unnecessary CGI. Thanks to The Loyal Subjects (TLS) and Hasbro, the legendary toy line is returning just as you remember it, only with a few modern upgrades.
If you ever dreamed of turning a motorcycle into a helicopter (without violating traffic laws), you’re in luck. The first wave includes the Mobile Defense Unit (MDU), Condor, Thunderhawk, and the High Tech Helicopter, each with an action figure pilot. They still transform, still come with sticker sheets for that classic DIY frustration, and now feature increased figure pose-ability, foot pegs on vehicles, and blast effects to capture those mid-air stunts.
The MDU rolls in as a mobile command center with a battering ramp, Thunderhawk remains the only Chevy Camaro that takes flight, and Condor still defies physics by switching from a street bike to a helicopter. While we rejoice at the toyline’s return, I think The Loyal Subjects and Hasbro should address the elephant in the room: why it is not called Rhino but Mobile Defense Unit and why it is called High Tech Helicopter and not Switchblade?
Pre-orders open July 1st, with wider distribution starting September 2nd. Whether you’re reliving your M.A.S.K. glory days or just looking for an excuse to collect toys again, now’s your chance. As for the pricing, we heard chatter that each toy will not be more than 100 USD, but that’s hearsay, so let’s just take it with a pinch of salt. Meanwhile, you can take it all in, visually, via some closeup images available on Toyark.com.
