If your music collection cannot agree on which decade it belongs to, Marantz has built a peacekeeping device. The new Marantz MCR 60n DAB plays CDs, streams music, welcomes a turntable, handles radio, and even improves your TV audio, all from one compact box.
The successor to the M-CR612 retains the front-loading CD player while upgrading its internal power supply and amplification for cleaner delivery. Vinyl devotees get a moving-magnet phono input, while DAB and FM radio cover those moments when choosing your own music feels like too much responsibility.
Modern listening falls to the latest HEOS platform, providing multi-room playback and access to services including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect. AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Roon Ready support are present, too. For locally stored high-resolution music, it handles PCM files up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD up to 11.2 MHz.
Marantz has also added HDMI eARC, allowing the MCR 60n DAB to pull television duties without requiring a separate AV receiver. Optional Dirac Live room correction can help tame difficult spaces, while four Smart Select presets save different input, volume, and sound configurations.
Power comes from an upgraded Class D amplifier delivering 65 W per channel into 4 ohms, around 30% more than its predecessor. A subwoofer output with an adjustable crossover is included for listeners who like their neighbors to know which album is playing. You will still need to supply the speakers; “all-in-one” has its limits.
Available in Matte Black or Champagne Gold from September 15, 2026, the MCR 60n DAB costs £800 (around US$1,080), €900 (US$1,040), or AU$1,700 (US$1,220). North America receives the non-DAB MCR 60n in black for US$1,000. Meanwhile, you can learn more about it over at marantz.com.
