Skeletor’s bust is not alone in getting “bricked.” His signature weapon, the Havoc Staff, has also been given the Mattel Brick Shop treatment. The staff is, IMHO, as iconic as the villain himself. Let’s put it this way: the only time the villain with a skull for a head does not look incomplete without the staff is in those “Until Next Time” memes.
So, yes, a buildable Skeletor Havoc Staff is a thing now. Now, bubbling Eternian villain interns can channel Skeletor’s evil magic by building a 1:2-scale version.
Just when you thought this 1,098-piece brick-built Skeletor Havoc Staff was all show and no actual power… well, OK, it is not the powerful magical artifact that serves as the focal point of Lord Skeletor’s dark spellcasting. However, it does have a couple of gimmicks that make it worth the effort to own and build.
For starters, the ram’s skull features an articulated jaw for the sinister snarl and mystical details, and what’s more? You can pretend to unlock the Havoc Staff’s dark magic by pressing the hidden light brick to activate its evil glow. Still no real dark magic. But the “Hey, I’m totally evil” vibe is definitely there once it lights up. Perfect for shedding some light while making your way through the dark passageways of Snake Mountain.
When completed, the build measures 39.8 inches (101 cm) long and 9.8 inches (25 cm) wide. It also comes with a modular dual-purpose display stand that lets you either showcase it on a shelf or mount it on the wall.
The Mattel Brick Shop Masters of the Universe Skeletor Havoc Staff is set to launch on September 11, 2026, for US$65. Preorders are live now on Mattel Creations, if anyone’s keen.
