New Nubia Red Magic Watch Will Not Give You An Edge In Mobile Gaming

nubia Red Magic Watch Smartwatch

It makes sense for smartphone makers to want to have a piece of the smartwatch market. But if the smartphone in question is a gaming focused device? I am not too sure what’s going on here, but here it is anyways, the nubia Red Magic Smartwatch.

This is not first smartwatch from Red Magic, however. Last year, the brand has revealed a pair of futuristic-looking smart wearables. The new Red Magic Smartwatch, however, is a tad more, well, regular looking.

The Red Magic Smartwatch gets a 1.38-inch AMOLED touch display and it, well, does what smartwatches do, including 16 exercise modes, push notifications from your smartphone, blood-oxygen monitoring, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, and customizable watch face.

It further touts built-in GPS that supports GPS, QZSS as well as Beidou, up to 15 days battery life (or up to 23 days in extended mode or 50 hours in outdoor exercise mode), 5ATM water resistance (capable withstanding water pressure up to 50 meters or 164 feet), and built-in AI that offers to help you cultivate healthy habits.

The watch tips the scales at mere 30g and it is available in five watch bands, including two leather models.

nubia Red Magic Smartwatch will go on sale on March 11 China time, priced at just 599 yuan (around US$92) a pop.
