Yes. You read that right. What you see here is a wireless charging pad designed after China’s first ever aircraft carrier and it is officially licensed to boot. Obviously, this desk top aircraft carrier is not to scale. If anything, it looks somewhat cartoonish.
The extra wide width in contrast to the extra short length gave the Officially Licensed Liaoning Aircraft Carrier Wireless Charging Pad the caricature appearance which is kind of cute. Beyond the cartoonish look, it does have the design cue of the Liaoning (or maybe just any aircraft carrier), including the ski jump deck, the main bridge building, the deck markings and all. No functional aircraft elevator, though.
Under the hood, this 20W wireless charging pad has two independent wireless charging coils allowing two Qi compatible devices to be charged simultaneously. It can support up to 7.5W charging for iPhones and up to 10 W for select models of Android phones.
The bridge is removable to allow for more space for the device. Otherwise, with the bridge, the other charging surface is relegated to small devices such as the charging case of true wireless earbuds.
The Officially Licensed Liaoning Aircraft Carrier Wireless Charging Pad by Baseus appears to be a China-only product (no surprise) here.
