Founder of Off-White and Louis Vuitton men’s artistic director, Virgil Abloh, is an artistic person who do hesitate to dip his hands in everything that interests him. From IKEA pieces to Mercedes-Benz G-Class to the unimaginable: refreshing the masterpiece from one of the greatest industrial designer of our time, Dieter Rams.
Even then, his latest is somewhat unexpected: a DJ Controller. Then again, this is not the first time Virgil has its hands DJ controllers. He did in 2019, but the difference with the Pioneer DJ x Off-White DJ Controller is, it is something money can buy.
The exclusive DJ controller, the DDJ-1000-OW, is made with Off-White. It is a special model with a unique collaborative design, featuring fluorescent orange and matte white asymmetrical colors and tagline printing.
On the hardware aspect, the controller inherits the layout of the CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM-900NXS2 setup, which is widely regarded as the club standard for DJ gear by professional DJs.
