Rollme VisionCase Adds a Touchscreen Display to the Back of Your iPhone

Rollme VisionCase Smartphone Case with HD Display

The Oppo Bubble sounds like a fun gadget-slash-lifestyle accessory that Apple users can only watch with envy. Well, not anymore, because Rollme has a case for iPhone 17 Pro Max users, called Rollme VisionCase, that does the same thing—and then some.

VisionCase is a smartphone case that looks like the humble protective case—and it is but it also decided that it can do more than just protect the phone. The result is a case with a built-in 1.85-inch HD touchscreen display sporting a 360 × 360 resolution.

Obviously, slapping a second screen on a case isn’t the newest idea. There have been a bunch in the past. There was Popslate, InkCase by Oaxis, eyecase—just to name a few. But this one does not attempt to consume the entire back; it makes it more like the Oppo Bubble—except you cannot remove the display.

The display can show real-time notifications, caller information, custom graphics, and scrolling text messages. It can even serve as a preview monitor for the phone’s rear camera, making it easier to take selfies with the main camera instead of relying on the usually less capable front-facing shooter.

That alone would be enough to make it interesting, but Rollme kept going. The VisionCase also packs voice recording, a digital business card function, a flashlight, and even built-in mini games. Yes, your phone case now has games.

The case houses a 400 mAh battery rated for up to seven days of use and supports reverse charging from the phone when needed. There is also an always-on display mode and an eight-color cycling effect for users who want their phone case to attract a little more attention.

Available in black, orange, gray, and coffee, the Rollme VisionCase is currently on sale for US$49.99.

At this point, smartphone cases are evolving into gadgets of their own. The only question now is whether someone will eventually put a smartphone inside a smartphone case.
