Meanwhile, in the world of displays for businesses… Sony has a new display solution for your business, be it at the lobby to flaunt your company’s success, or in the conference room for meetings and presentations.
Called the Sony Crystal LED S Series, the new lineup expands Sony’s direct-view LED family with a more accessible mid-market offering. The series includes the ZRD-S12G and ZRD-S15G, both featuring modular, bezel-free panels designed for scalable video wall setups in corporate spaces, retail environments, classrooms, and public venues.
Sony claims brightness of up to 800 cd/m², along with anti-reflection technology borrowed from its higher-end Crystal LED BH Series. Translation: fewer reflections from office lights and giant lobby windows trying to ruin your million-dollar presentation slides.
The displays are also fairly slim at around 4.5 inches deep, which matters when the display itself is roughly the size of a wall. Sony is also pushing simplified installation and maintenance with pre-calibrated modules and front-access servicing. Lower power consumption and reduced heat generation are part of the package, too, which should help keep electricity bills from becoming part of the monthly office horror story.
Durability is another focus. The Crystal LED S Series includes a protective surface layer to help guard against accidental impacts and scratches. Good news for public installations, trade shows, and people who simply cannot resist touching expensive displays for reasons unknown.
