If you ever wanted to capture images or videos from a very far off distance and thought only full-fledged DSLR could do it, well, think again. These days, many compact shooters, or the so-called prosumer cameras, are more than capable of going to length and the recently announced Sony Compact 50x Super Zoom Cyber-shot HX350 Digital Camera is one such camera. The HX350 was announced for the European and Asia Pacific market and as the model name implies, it is indeed a successor to the HX300. Having said that, it does share some features with the HX300, most notably, the 20.4MP BSI Exmor R CMOS sensor and of course, the insane 50x zoom lens. With the proliferation of voice commands, Bluetooth headset (or earpiece) can be physically as small as possible. While most of us are cool with barking instructions into a earbud stuck inside our sound hole, Sony came up with a whole new and rather weird way of controlling your phone to do you bidding, and that’s through a thing called head gesture. Yep. That’s right. Head gesture. Already ‘head gesture’ sounds pretty absurd but though so, the Sony Xperia Ear Bluetooth Earpiece which uses this technology thing is very real. And we are not even kidding. Continue reading Sony Xperia Ear Wants You To Nod Your Head To Answer Phone Call

The moment all Playstation fans have been looking forward to has finally arrived. Early today, in New York, Sony Interactive Entertainment has made official the much rumored new Playstation 4 console. As expected, the company took the wraps off not one, but two consoles, both which are Playstation 4. If you already own a PS4 (and a little more dough to drop), the Playstation 4 Pro, or PS4 Pro, is the one you want to look out for. The PS4 Pro touts a more powerful GPU and faster processor which enables it to support 4K resolution, as well as the now-rad High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging technology, while promising to output smoother frame rates. If you are hoping to get your hands on a supposed new Playstation 4 Slim way before Playstation Meeting, well, we have news for you. First, it is gone, or to be exact, the ad was removed and second, I personally doubt its authenticity. Though it is known that Sony will be releasing a competing product in response to Microsoft’s Xbox One S, the images, if anything, paints a fuzzy picture (not in a literal sense, btw). I am not sure if its the quality of the picture submitted to The Verge by the U.K.-based seller, or what, but it appears to me to be either a hoax or a prototype sneaked out of Sony’s lab. The rig is dressed in matte black and still sport the same horizontal split design, but this time, without the slant and also, it has rounded corners now and fancy footings. Some TV manufacturers are falling head-over-heels for OLEDs, but not Sony. The Japanese electronics giant isn’t going to ‘take the easy way out’, at least not when it comes to the race for a bigger chunk of the high-end TV cake. Instead it has invested time and money to create the “the next generation in television display technology,” the Backlight Master Drive technology, which can be found on its newly announced Z series 4K HDR Ultra HD TV. First introduced at the CES 2016 as a prototype, Backlight Master Drive is a precision backlight boosting technology that promised to deliver “unprecedented dynamic range with incredibly deep blacks and dazzling lights” that mimics the brightness and colors of the real world.
