The Fanatec GT DD Pro Steering Wheel is cool and all for playing the Gran Turismo driving simulator but if you are a fashionista, you will want the BAPE X Fanatec GT DD Pro instead. You heard that right. It is the Fanatec GT DD Pro with BAPE cosmetic.
For this special edition gaming steering wheel, the Gran Turismo and BAPE logos can be found in white on the horn against the BAPE camo pattern. The camo pattern is also applied on the lower section of the flat-bottom steering wheel, on the inner grip.
Meanwhile, A Bathing Ape and Fanatec branding in white is set against the iconic BAPE camo pattern on the pedal base. The BAPE X Fanatec GT DD Pro was released to celebrate the Gran Turismo movie’s release; only 20 units are being made, each commanding an eye-watering US$999.
Sadly, it appears to be all sold out. Ugh. There is a silver lining, though. One lucky folk will have a chance of winning a set by entering a sweepstakes. But the sweepstakes is only for US residents. Yes. I know. It sucks but it is what it is.
Anyhoo, for those who don’t already know, Gran Turismo is a real-life story of a Gran Turismo enthusiast who realized his dream of turning his skills on the virtual track into a career in racing. The movie hits theaters in the US on August 25.
