I think Matt of the YouTube channel DIY Perks has a beef with the PlayStation 5 aesthetic and form factor. This man had previously given a PS5 an entirely new aesthetic and also reengineered a PS5 Digital Edition in the world’s first PS5 Slim. And he is not stopping. Recently, the dude has reconfigured and re-engineered a PS5 Digital Edition, turning it into a PlayStation 5 Gaming Tablet.

Long story short, the man is an engineering genius with a knack for downsizing a huge video game console. The result is a device that is almost as thin as the DIY PS5 Slim but with an integrated OLED panel capable of 4K gaming and a kickstand.

The so-called PlayStation 5 Gaming Tablet boasts a custom cooling system comprised of copper heat sinks, copper heat pipes, a nickel-plated copper block, and three whisper-quiet, bi-direction laptop fans.

It does not have a built-in power supply though. Instead, it is powered by an external power black, which is a sleek PLEX GaN 250 W ATX power supply. The power supply is hooked up to the tablet via a custom power cable with custom high-current connectors.

Now, Matt’s PlayStation 5 Gaming Tablet is not quite a tablet that can hold it with two hands and play. It is more like a portable video game console that you can bring to play while you are on the road as long as there is a power outlet. It is worth noting that this is not the first portable video game console. There have been other attempts, as well as a solution to let you play regular video game consoles on the go.
