Good news, electronic music-loving, Star Wars fans who also happen to have a deep love for vinyl records. Disney Music Group will be launching a new vinyl single at the Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016, happening on July 15-17 at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre, Celebration. The Star Wars Headspace 10-inch vinyl single, a Hollywood Records and American Recordings compilation, features the track Jabba Flow: Rick Rubin Re-work (Feat. A-Trak) by Shag Kava as found on the Star Wars Headspace electronic album announced earlier this year.
The vinyl boasts psychedelic version of the images of Kylo Ren and BB-8 (side A and side B, respectively) which makes it a worthy collectible for any Star Wars fanatics. Seriously, Kylo Ren has never looked this good. If I ever acquire it, I will be sure I put it on display in the middle of the room with clear perspex on both sides so everyone can admire the both prints.
In addition to the first-to-market Star Wars Headspace 10-inch vinyl single, Disney Music Group also announced the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Soundtrack 2-LP Hologram Vinyl, featuring one-of-a-kind 3D holograms of the, you guessed it, Millennium Falcon and TIE Fighter. Also available are Star Wars: The Force Awakens Soundtrack 2-LP Picture Disc with Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Finn and Rey character images, and BB-8 Exclusive Die-cut Picture Disc 10-inch vinyl which contains March of the Resistance/Rey’s Theme. Music is, of course, by John Williams.
With the exception of the Star Wars Headspace 10-inch vinyl single, the rest of the vinyls are available through Disney Music Emporium. Prices range from $34.98-49.96. Price for the 10-inch Headspace vinyl is unknown though.
