Spring has arrived. Which means Beijing is warming up, flowers are blooming, and scale-model collectors are preparing to make questionable financial decisions at the 24th Hobby China Expo 2026 (HEC 2026) [CH], happening April 17–19 at Beijing Exhibition Center.
XCARTOYS will be there with a booth packed with upcoming releases, fresh prototypes, and a few shelf-dominating centerpieces that will be difficult to ignore. Prices are still to be announced, but several highlights already stand out—especially the PANDEM transporter sets.
PANDEM FUSO-300 flatbed transporter sets steal the spotlight
The headline releases come courtesy of POP RACE: two new PANDEM FUSO-300 flatbed transporter sets, each paired with a chrome-finished companion car that immediately turns the transporter into part of the display rather than just a support vehicle.
One set carries a PANDEM Elise finished in striking purple chrome, complete with removable front and rear body panels. The other transports an RWB 930 wearing gold chrome and featuring an opening engine cover.
The transporter itself receives careful rear-deck detailing, so the entire setup works as a single presentation piece instead of a truck with cargo added as an afterthought. For collectors already building PANDEM or RWB shelves, these feel like inevitable additions rather than optional extras.
A purple PANDEM R32 with extra attitude
Also appearing at the show is a purple PANDEM R32, inspired by sheet-metal specialist Gao Xuan’s personal car.
The hood opens. The engine bay is fully detailed. The widebody stance does exactly what a PANDEM R32 should do: dominate whatever space it occupies.
Collectors who want the full Gao Xuan treatment can also look for a themed lucky bag set that bundles the model with a plush R32, lanyard, T-shirt, tote bag, and a mystery item still being kept under wraps.
Tank 300 Iron Cavalry 02 brings serious mechanical detail
For collectors who appreciate what is happening underneath the body as much as what sits on top of it, XCARTOYS is also bringing the Tank 300 Iron Cavalry 02 full-function chassis kit version.
This release goes deep on structural realism, featuring a brass ladder frame, zinc alloy non-unibody construction, front double-wishbone suspension, rear solid axle layout, functional thrust rod detailing, copper exhaust system, copper driveshaft, independent wheel bearings, and damped suspension components.
Assembly complexity means quantities available during the exhibition will be limited.
A green RWB 930—and a chrome chase version
Another release arriving at HEC 2026 is a green RWB 930, joined by a hidden electroplated chase variant with an 8% appearance ratio.
Someone is going to get lucky. Everyone else is going to start checking listings later that evening.
Works Model joins the booth with rally royalty
XCARTOYS is also sharing space this year with Hong Kong newcomer Works Model, bringing two instantly recognizable homologation legends: the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6.5 Tommi Mäkinen Edition and the Subaru Impreza 22B STi.
Both are the kind of rally-era icons that rarely stay available for long once collectors spot them.
Between the PANDEM FUSO-300 transporter sets, the purple R32, the mechanically detailed Tank 300 chassis edition, and a supporting cast of rally favorites, XCARTOYS’ presence at HEC 2026 is shaping up to be one of the stops worth planning for in advance.
Pricing and Availability
As mentioned, the prices are still under wraps for now. However, we came upon a post by a Taiwan-based account on IG that may hint at the pricing of the PANDEM transporter sets. According to YR_journal [CH], each set commands NT$1,980 (which works out to be 62 bucks). Apparently, pre-order is happening in Taiwan.
