Forget about cordless stick vacuums. These days, it is all about efficiency, and that means being able to vacuum and wash the floor in one fell sweep. This is where floor washers like the Dyson WashG1 and Mach V1 Ultra come in. And now, Xiaomi is in the game too. Of course it is. In fact, as the product name implies, the Xiaomi Mijia Cordless Floor Washer 4 is not the gadget giant’s first. I am using the previous generation model, by the way, and I am loving it. So now, the hopeless vacuum cleaner addict in me is eyeing this new cordless vacuum.
The new Mijia Cordless Floor Washer is not just Xiaomi’s most advanced (and dare I say sleekest) cordless stick vac yet, but it also borrows Xiaomi’s phone naming style, which has already made its way to Xiaomi’s EV line. There is the Mijia Cordless Floor Washer 4, the Mijia Cordless Floor Washer 4 Pro, and, you guessed it, the Mijia Cordless Floor Washer 4 Max.
The standard model packs 18,000 Pa of wet and dry suction power, producing 20 N of downforce, with a 450 RPM roller brush working to lift stubborn stains. It offers three cleaning modes—standard, sterilization, and water suction—and vacuums, mops, and washes in one go. The roller is dried quickly with an 80°C hot air deodorizing process, and the self-cleaning function uses hot water to sterilize, remove stains, and banish odors.
Xiaomi has gone for triple sterilization here, along with a four-layer anti-hair-tangle system that can deal with up to 3,000 strands of hair at a time. A floating constant-pressure comb strip with a shark-tooth design grabs and compacts hair while the suction pulls it away. The five-stage water control system ensures surfaces dry quickly, minimizing slip risks, while a built-in deodorizing stick helps prevent nasty smells from wastewater or mildew.
On a full charge, it runs for 40 minutes and can cover up to 336 square meters. The standout feature for me is its ability to lie completely flat—like, you know, at 180 degrees—so you can push it under low furniture with ease. I believe this is the first floor washer in the market to feature a lay-flat design.
The Pro is everything the standard model is, but it ups the suction to 21,000 Pa for a slightly higher downforce of 23 N. In addition, the roller drying temperature jumps to sweltering 100°C. Xiaomi also says it is quieter at 47 dB, although there’s no mention of whether the standard model matches that.
Finally, the Max model pushes things further with 23,000 Pa of suction for 23.9 N of downforce. It adds five-stage water filtration and one-pass quick drying to keep floors safer to walk on, a boiling water self-cleaning system, active water edge-cleaning for corners, and a bi-directional electric assist for smooth push-pull motion. It offers up to 50 minutes of battery life, a high-definition LCD, nine key cleaning technologies, and a roller brush designed for both stain removal and sterilization.
The new Mijia Cordless Floor Washer 4 series is available in China, with the standard model priced at 1,499 yuan [CH] (~209 USD), the Pro at 1,999 yuan [CH] (~278 USD), and the range-topping Max at 2,999 yuan [CH] (~418 USD). Those stickers are introductory prices, btw. The MSRPs are actually much higher.
