Airstream’s Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Trailer Brings Cowboy Style to the Open Road

Airstream Stetson + 6666 Travel Trailer

What do cowboys have to do with travel trailers? Probably nothing, unless it is being pulled by horses like a carriage. But Airstream somehow found the perfect excuse to give its iconic aluminum trailer a serious cowboy makeover. Folks, meet the Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer, a rolling tribute to the spirit of the American West.

It still looks unmistakably like an Airstream, but look a little closer, and the Western vibes start showing up everywhere. Inspired by Stetson and the legendary Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, this special edition feels like the travel trailer cowboys might have used if such a thing existed back in the day.

As you may have already noticed, the project brings together three icons of American heritage. Airstream has been building its aluminum travel trailers since 1931. Stetson has been synonymous with cowboy hats and Western wear since 1865. And the Four Sixes Ranch, founded in 1870, remains one of the most storied ranching operations in Texas, spanning more than 260,000 acres across West Texas. Put these three together, and you get a travel trailer that blends rugged Western identity with handcrafted luxury.

The exterior still carries the familiar polished aluminum Airstream body, but it now features a red rub rail inspired by the garnet paint used on Four Sixes barns. Custom badging and a bold red awning stitched with collaboration branding reinforce the Western theme. Even the front solar guards carry perforated cowboy artwork, turning functional parts into rolling storytelling panels.

Step inside and the cowboy spirit continues. The seating is upholstered in genuine semi-aniline leather with custom Stetson and Four Sixes branding. A farmhouse-style hammered copper sink anchors the kitchen area, giving the galley a warm, rustic character. Above the sink sits a clever mug rack so you can hang your coffee mug, mule cup, or favorite campfire beverage container.

The interior décor leans heavily into Western heritage. A black-stained oak dinette table, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, and vintage Stetson advertising artwork on the galley wall create the feeling of a well-worn ranch lodge. There is even a removable hat rack designed to store up to three Stetson hats. Cowboys take their hats seriously, and this trailer clearly understands the assignment.

Open the standard rear hatch and pull down the screen to let fresh air roll through the trailer. Whether parked near a creek, a forest, or a dusty stretch of open land, the design encourages that outdoor connection. The wide awning outside provides shade while the interior leather cushions invite you to lean back and relax after a long day on the road.

Key features include genuine semi-aniline leather seating, a hammered copper farmhouse sink, Western-inspired décor, custom hat racks, red collaboration awnings, and distinctive Four Sixes styling details.

The Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer is available now through Airstream’s nationwide dealer network with a starting MSRP of US$169,900.
