Quick Byte: Arc Pulse Titanium Opal Damascus iPhone Case

Arc Pulse Titanium Opal Damascus iPhone Case

Damascus, a name synonymous with blades and swords, has now appeared in the world of iPhone accessories. No, it is not a phone case with an actual blade. It is a minimal case by Arc. Arc has given its already pricey barebones case a super-luxe makeover with Titanium Opal Damascus. And yes, it is real Damascus-style metalwork, not just a marketing name. More specifically, it is Titanium Damascus, not traditional steel.

According to Arc, the Arc Pulse Titanium Opal Damascus is made from ultra-thin titanium layers stacked in a sealed chamber, purged with inert argon gas, heated above 2,000°F (1,093°C), then stretched, folded, and reheated to create those flowing, wavy patterns. Thermal oxidation adds the opalescent colors. The titanium shell is paired with an internal shock-dampening inlay to absorb and reduce shock.

Each case is CNC-machined from a single billet, weighs just 18 g (0.63 oz), and functions exactly like the standard Arc Pulse—only far more luxurious. Limited to 100 pieces worldwide, each is individually numbered and comes in a hand-finished wooden case. The price? *drum roll* A staggering US$2,077. Holy mother of…
