Back in 2024, BRABUS unleashed the Rocket GTS, a 1,000-horsepower shooting brake based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance. Now, the Bottrop tuner has dressed the beast in exposed blue carbon and matching leather, creating the latest expression of the Rocket GTS formula: the Deep Blue.
Like the original Rocket GTS, the Deep Blue combines a heavily modified 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with the AMG hybrid system to unleash 1,000 horses and a monstrous 1,820 Nm (1,342 lb-ft) of torque. The result is a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 2.6 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 317 km/h (197 mph).
As the name suggests, blue is the theme here. The body is wrapped in exposed “Deep Blue” carbon fiber and paired with a matching BRABUS Masterpiece interior finished in various shades of blue and gray. Hand-crafted leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber trim, and BRABUS’ signature shell-pattern quilting transform the cabin into a rolling display of excess.
Massive forged Monoblock P “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels measuring 21 inches up front and 22 inches at the rear fill out the widened wheel arches, while BRABUS RideControl suspension keeps all 1,000 horses in check.
Despite looking like something Batman might daily drive, the Rocket GTS remains surprisingly practical. As BRABUS’ first shooting brake, it offers a luggage compartment that expands from 263 liters to 638 liters, making it one of the few 1,000-horsepower machines capable of carrying both a weekend’s worth of luggage and enough carbon fiber to make an aerospace engineer blush.
The BRABUS Rocket GTS Deep Blue is available now as a bespoke, built-to-order machine. Deep pockets are required, though. Prices start at just over €1 million (around US$1.18 million) before you begin ticking boxes and discussing your favorite shade of blue with the folks in Bottrop. After all, if you are spending seven figures on a 1,000-horsepower shooting brake wrapped in exposed blue carbon, settling for somebody else’s specification would be rather un-BRABUS. 😄
