A Look At Century, Toyota’s Handcrafted, Chauffeur Car

The mention of Toyota and “luxury,” Lexus will probably come to mind. However, that wasn’t the case in Japan prior to 2005. Previously, Lexus was an overseas-only marque while back in its home country, Century was the go-to automobile if one wanted a chauffeur-driven car. The history of Toyota Century dates back as far back as 1967 when the first model came into existence as the sedan of choice for businessmen looking for a chauffeur-driven car. Bell Helicopter Show Off Air Taxi, Bell Nexus, At CES 2019

The race to develop a viable on-demand air transportation is on. At last year’s CES, Bell Helicopter revealed the cabin of its vision of air taxi and at this year’s CES, the Texas helicopter maker follow up with a full-scale Bell Nexus prototype. Ermmm. OK. It is more like a full-scale model than a prototype with tilting and rotating rotors. If you really look at it, the Bell Nexus is really just another helicopter, but with six titling ducted fans instead of the usual main and tail rotor combo found on traditional helicopter. But hey, if they say it is an air taxi, then an air taxi it is then. Continue reading Bell Helicopter Show Off Air Taxi, Bell Nexus, At CES 2019

This Toyota Prius Has An M61 Vulcan Cannon Because, Why Not?

In a post-apocalypse world, everything should be in a chaos and as such, going clean and green is the last thing anyone will ever thing about. However, that does not mean you can’t. You can, in the event you survive the apocalypse, do what Black Rifle Coffee Company did: turn an eco-friendly Toyota Prius into a lean, mean war machine with a functioning M61 Vulcan cannon attached atop, readying to sweep down any advancing zombies and whatnot. New Range Rover Is Not Just Luxurious, But It Is Silent Too

Land Rover fans who are a tad eco-conscious can now look the marque’s 2018 Range Rover because, this luxury off-roader has now gone a teeny weeny bit greener – thanks to the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain made up of a longitudinally-mounted 300 PS (221 kW or about 295 HP) 2L four-pot Ingenium petrol engine and a 85 kW electric motor. According to the horse’s mouth, the total yield from the P400e PHEV is 404 PS (or 297 kW which works out to be 398 HP). Now, at this point, keen eye readers probably noted the discrepancy in numbers. Me too, but don’t ask me why, really. I spent the last five minutes brooding over this and I still don’t get it. Continue reading New Range Rover Is Not Just Luxurious, But It Is Silent Too

Mercedes-AMG Project ONE Is Basically A Formula 1 Car In A Road Car Shell

Some people aspired to be a Formula One race car driver for, you know, the fame and fortune, but if you really love cars, like cars that are as powerful as the hybrid technology offered by today’s Formula 1 race car, the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is probably the closest anyone will ever get. The obvious pro of this ride is, it looks like a perfectly normal car that assimilate easily with the rest of the traffic. Never mind the exotic and the obvious, million dollar look. At least, you won’t look out of place or get overlooked by big rigs when you are on the road and also, you can at least bring a friend with you unlike a real Formula 1 race car.
