New Range Rover Is Not Just Luxurious, But It Is Silent Too

Land Rover fans who are a tad eco-conscious can now look the marque’s 2018 Range Rover because, this luxury off-roader has now gone a teeny weeny bit greener – thanks to the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain made up of a longitudinally-mounted 300 PS (221 kW or about 295 HP) 2L four-pot Ingenium petrol engine and a 85 kW electric motor. According to the horse’s mouth, the total yield from the P400e PHEV is 404 PS (or 297 kW which works out to be 398 HP). Now, at this point, keen eye readers probably noted the discrepancy in numbers. Me too, but don’t ask me why, really. I spent the last five minutes brooding over this and I still don’t get it. Continue reading New Range Rover Is Not Just Luxurious, But It Is Silent Too

Mercedes-AMG Project ONE Is Basically A Formula 1 Car In A Road Car Shell

Some people aspired to be a Formula One race car driver for, you know, the fame and fortune, but if you really love cars, like cars that are as powerful as the hybrid technology offered by today’s Formula 1 race car, the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is probably the closest anyone will ever get. The obvious pro of this ride is, it looks like a perfectly normal car that assimilate easily with the rest of the traffic. Never mind the exotic and the obvious, million dollar look. At least, you won’t look out of place or get overlooked by big rigs when you are on the road and also, you can at least bring a friend with you unlike a real Formula 1 race car. Citroën’s Futuristic Concept Revealed Ahead Of Paris Motor Show

We have a love and hate relationship with concept cars. Love because they are usually exciting and hate because the mostly radical looking concept usually don’t make it to production. It always begs the question: why can’t they make what they have shown? I guess we will never know, but we surely hope that the Citroën CXperience Concept Hybrid Station Wagon cos’ at least, while being bold, it does look like it could be reality. How do we know? Lets just say it was a gut feel. The concept is due for its world premier at the Paris Motor Show, but the French automaker is probably too excited to keep it under wrap for that long and so, it has decided to show it off Continue reading Citroën’s Futuristic Concept Revealed Ahead Of Paris Motor Show

First Images Of Droptop LaFerrari Revealed And They Are All Sold

The world is surely not lacking of petrolheads with boatloads of cash to spare. First, we read about the Jaguar XKSS continuation model flying off the showroom without it actually hitting the showroom floor, and now the same has happened to Ferrari‘s droptop version of its hybrid performance car, LaFerrari. The first images was first unveiled on the July 5th, but the book has already closed after Ferrari did a special client preview. The al fresco LaFerrari is all sold. Well, what can we say? That’s one of the perks of being obnoxiously rich, isn’t it? Not just the bad guys get all the good stuff in the movies, but richie rich in real world gets all the good stuff too. This bold and edgy ride coming from Acura’s Precision Crafted Performance looks more sci-fi-ish then anything else. What goes under the hood is not known, but the design is enough to win us over. It sports a design that emphasizes on “high-contrast details and the intersection of modern, sheer surfaces and muscular, and organic sculpting,” which results in an angular look. We can’t help but to relate it to Transformers. Continue reading Bold Acura Precision Concept And 2017 NSX Heads To Windy City

Ferrari F80 Supercar: a Stunningly Beautiful Concept That’s Not a Product of Ferrari Design Studio

Before you go gaga over this Ferrari F80 Supercar Concept, you ought to know that this isn’t a concept product from the Maranello sports car maker and it has nothing to do with the recent Frankfurt Motor Show either. This is in fact, a product of the imagination of Italian designer Adriano Raeli. No, wait. Raeli did not just dream it on a CAD program; he actually sculpted a scale model of his design and we think Ferrari should seriously considering picking his concept up. Man, this thing is an absolute beauty and being a graduate of Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, Raeli sure knows what he is dabbling in. This is Concept IAA, Mercedes-Benz’s Super Sexy Real-life Transformers Car

While Japanese inventors are taking Transformers in a literal sense, German luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz, has other ideas about a transforming car, which the company unveiled at the on-going Frankfurt Motor Show. Though, don’t expect the Concept IAA, which is short for Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile, to take on an organic robot form, but it will however, transform from a sexy four-door coupe to a (still sexy) highly aerodynamic vehicle with an astounding drag coefficient of just 0.19. Like the deploying spoilers found on some luxury sports car such as the Bugatti, Mercedes-Benz’s Concept IAA automatically executes the transformation, which sees the vehicle’s fastback style silhouette being altered on-the-fly to increase aerodynamic efficiency, upon reaching a set speed and in this instance, it’s 80 km/h (50 mph).
