If your laptop isn’t listening to you yet, GIGABYTE thinks it should be. The tech giant just announced the AERO X16 and GAMING A16—AI-powered laptops that come with GiMATE, your new voice-activated assistant laptop whisperer. Want to tweak performance? Just press and speak. Want it to stop listening? Also, press and speak… preferably with a hint of panic.
These new additions round out GIGABYTE’s 2025 AI PC lineup, joining the previously launched AORUS MASTER series. But unlike those beefy battlestations, the AERO X16 is all about portability and panache. We’re talking 1.9kg (4.2 lbs), a 16.75mm-thin body, a WQXGA display with Pantone validation, and your choice of Space Gray or Lunar White. Minimalist on the outside, AI madness on the inside.
Built for creators and digital nomads, the AERO X16 lets you cocreate and generatively fill your way to productivity—whether you’re in a café or trapped on a long-haul flight. There’s even Dolby Atmos, WINDFORCE Infinity cooling, and battery life that claims to stretch to 14 hours (we’ll believe it when we see it).
Meanwhile, the GAMING A16 is aimed at students and casual gamers—aka people who say “just one more round” before sunrise. It weighs a bit more at 2.2kg (4.8 lbs), but adds a 165Hz refresh rate, MUX switch, and a 180° hinge, so you can lie flat while questioning life choices in-between matches.
Both feature NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs (up to 5070), the new Blackwell architecture, and AI-accelerated everything. Also: the “Golden Curvature” keyboard, which sounds like a yoga pose but is actually just really comfy to type on.
In short, AI is officially in your laptop. And yes, it’s probably judging your tabs.
