Honor must have taken a look at TWS earbuds with touchscreen charging cases and gone, “Why stop at a smartwatch screen?” So, the Honor Choice iotapk AI Call Earbuds were born.
The product name may not be immediately obvious, but this little guy here is basically a smartphone. I mean it. It is everything a smartphone is. It has apps, it has a touchscreen, it can do text messaging using the pre-installed messaging app, it can make calls, and wait for it… it can take pictures, too. Believe it.
You can leave it to Chinese companies to create the craziest novelty tech, and frankly, I am not disappointed at all. After perfume earbuds and mouse earbuds, I thought I had seen it all. Clearly, I hadn’t.
As you can see, the charging case of the Honor Choice iotapk AI Call Earbuds [CH] is not exactly compact, and for good reason. It has a 1.84-inch 2.5D curved full-color touchscreen that supports single touch—not multitouch, by the way—and flip it around, and there is a lone 5 MP camera with video recording capability. Yes, it has a camera.
On the side, you will find a SIM card tray, and the package even includes a SIM ejector. Now you understand why I said this is pretty much a smartphone. It supports 4G networks and boasts both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
I do not believe you can install third-party apps since there is no app store pre-installed, but I heard that through the magic of ADB, certain apps can be installed. Do note that it only has 16 GB of storage, mainly for storing your favorite tunes for on-the-go offline listening. That said, it also doubles as a media player, though with limited on-screen controls.
It runs on Android—of course it does—and has a built-in AI assistant ready to answer queries. The device also leverages AI for language translation, AI interactive expressions, lesson summaries, voice recording translation, AI chat, direct connection to the DeepSeek R1 large model, and photo translation.
As for the earbuds, each unit features a 12.4 mm dynamic driver and a 40 mAh battery good for up to 6.5 hours of playback. They are IP54 rated. The charging case packs a 1,000 mAh battery, offering up to 10 additional hours of use, though the case itself is not IP rated.
Interestingly, the earbuds and charging case use different Bluetooth versions: the earbuds run on Bluetooth 5.4, while the case uses Bluetooth 4.2. Charging is via USB-C. No wireless charging, though.
The Honor Choice iotapk AI Call Earbuds have launched in China with an MSRP of 899 yuan [CH] (about US$130).
