There’s a Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive ’94 NSX With Working Headlights and Taillights

Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1994 NSX

Another Hot Wheels RLC exclusive, and this time it is going to set the hearts of JDM fans fluttering. Folks, this is the Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1994 NSX. But this ain’t no ordinary 1:64 die-cast. It lights up.

Moreover, because it is a mid-mounted engine sports car, you get a view of the 3.0-liter V6 VTEC even without an opening hood or trunk. The detailed miniature engine is visible through the medium smoke-tinted rear windshield.

In addition to the sleek exotic car lines, this die-cast model features working headlights and taillights powered by a built-in rechargeable battery, rechargeable using the included USB cable. So, yeah. In addition to the usual details you expect of an RLC-exclusive die-cast model, it boasts individual parts for the headlights and taillights that light up.

When not lit up, the taillights look fine, but I cannot say the same for the headlights, which look like a pair of hollow boxes. Maybe it is the product photos. Also, the pop-up headlights are fixed in the popped-up position. The pop-up mechanism does not appear to be functional.

Anyhoo, the Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1994 NSX boasts a Spectraflame “Otto Blue” finish with a contrasting black hood, roof, and rear wing, and rolls on Real Riders-wrapped 10-spoke wheels in metallic silver.

That brings me to one thing that I am not a fan of with the RLC: it likes this 10-spoke wheel a lot. Many of its die-cast models roll on this same wheel, and if you were to display your RLC collection together, it looks, well, not very cool. Granted, in real life, that does happen. Many cars could have wheels of similar designs.

Other things are about as accurate as a 1:64 model could be, including the bridge-style spoiler, the flared rear fenders with air intakes to cool the rear brakes, and the twin exhausts. As with most, if not all, 1:64 Hot Wheels, it is built on a ZAMAC body with a matte black base.

The Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1994 NSX is presented in an acrylic display case with a decorative slipcover. It is set to drop on May 26, 2026, at 9 AM PT, for US$38. As before, this is a member-exclusive. So if you are not a member, you need to become one to be able to buy this model.
