Speakers are no longer mere speakers. Aside from good sounds and pretty aesthetics, they need to be smart to have the competitive edge. Such is what specialist audio equipment maker Klipsch realized, only. Understanding the current market fad, Klipsch has rolled out a new version of Three Heritage Wireless Speaker, bestowing it with Google Assistant capability.
Officially called Klipsch The Three with Google Assistant, the new Three now lets you ask questions, get information, stream music, hear the news, weather and traffic, add to shopping list, control smart home devices, make a call, and well, it can do whatever Google Assistant is designed to do – all with nothing but your voice.
In addition to those, you get the unmistakable gorgeous design from Klipsch, i.e. a mid-century modern design with genuine walnut veneer cabinet paired to a classy, healthier gray grilled cloth, and minimal aluminum switches and knobs. You will, of course, be treated to powerful, professionally-tuned stereo sound that is bolstered by an integrated subwoofer that promised “astounding, room-filling acoustics.”
Speaking of sweet stereo sound, audio duties are undertaken by a pair of 2 1/4-inch (57.15 mm) full-range drivers, a 5.25-inch (133.4 mm) long-throw woofer and two 5.25-inch (133.4 mm) dual opposed passive radiators. Together this set up puts out 60 watts of continuous power. There are no outputs to speaker off, but there is the all important Bluetooth technology.
