This Small And Stylish Wireless Speaker Could Give B&O A Run For Their Money

It is strange that the physical beauty of high-end audio products from the likes of Bang & Olufsen and Bowers & Wilkins is replicated only by a handful. We all know how the products from the aforementioned brands sound like and almost without fail, those products have the look to match, but unbeknownst to us, there’s one other lesser known brand that is just as accomplished in both aesthetic and audio reproduction, and it is called Vifa. Vifa, a Danish audio equipment maker, has been around since 1933, but it wasn’t until 2014 when the company started dabbling in wireless and portable loudspeakers, and the tiny handsome little guy you see here today, called Reykjavik, is the brand’s fifth and latest speakers in only three years. Bowers & Wilkins’ New Zeppelin Ditches Dock, Goes All Out Wireless

It has been seven years since the original Zeppelin was introduced. Today, the British audio maker has announced the rejuvenated Zeppelin that, though aesthetically similar to original’s timeless blimp design, differs in every way – from the construction to the innards. To be honest, we didn’t think the form needs any tweak. It still look as good as it was seven years ago, which is quite a design feat, if you ask me. The new Zeppelin Wireless, as it is called, gets a larger 6-1/2” woofer and an ultra-long voice coil, along with a pair of decoupled double-dome 1” tweeters and two 3.5” FST midrange drivers that affords deep bass to be played at impressive volume, while delivering clean, dynamic audio across a broad range of music genres. However, that is not to say that there’s no other tweaks apart from aesthetic. There are. The largely cylindrical shape speaker boasts a new built-in tap-and-swipe user interface for music control and the Multiroom app gets an update for smartphones, tablets, as well as smartwatches.
