Folks, Meet Kross Studio Boba Fett And The Batman Luxury Timepieces

Kross Studio Boba Fett and Batman Luxury Watch

Recently we have been itching for a very expensive and unique timepiece, and so we decided to pop by our favorite small batch designer watchmaker, Kross Studio’s website, to see what’s available. Just kidding. We are not itching to spend money that we do not have but we did hit up Kross Studio’s website to realize we have missed a bunch since after the wonderful Tie Advanced X1 Watch Winder.

Right on the front page, two very interesting timepieces greeted us: Kross Studio Boba Fett Collector Set and Kross Studio The Batman Collector Set. The Batman set is, of course, based on the latest Batman movie that I have spoken so highly of.

Boba Fett’s timepiece is inspired by the infamous bounty hunter’s space ride, Slave I (or Firespray because it is what it’s called now). The Batman timepiece, on the hand, drew its inspiration from the Bat-Signal from the latest Batman movie.

What makes these timepieces stand out is their collectability. Fett’s timepiece comes with a Slave I (I insist on calling it “Slave I” because that’s what I grew up with) spaceship display case, crafted by EFX from aluminum, acrylic, and resin, and the cape crusader gets an aluminum Bat-Signal functional art piece equipped with a 3000K warm white LED.

The desktop Bat-Signal also serves as storage for The Batman timepiece or other timepieces in your collection like so:

Here’s a quick rundown of the features of each timepiece:

Kross Studio Boba Fett Collector Set

The Watch

298 parts

A “Time Set” push button flushed with the side of the case at 3 o’clock

The Case

The Case Back

Grade 5 titanium case back with 4 anti-reflective sapphire crystals and a D-ring crown

The Strap

Three straps:

Chocolate PVD coated grade 5 titanium deployant buckle clasp

The Movement

The Dial/Time Reading

A peripheral format for reading the hours and minutes through a planetary gear system that orbits 360 degrees around the tourbillon. The hour hand is inspired by Boba Fett’s jetpack and the minute hand by its rocket.

The Design Highlight

A miniature starship on its landing platform at the top of the tourbillon’s cage. Composed of eight pieces, each miniature tourbillon resembles Boba Fett’s Firespray starship, meticulously engraved and hand-painted to mimic the weathered appearance of the bounty’s space ride as seen in Bespin at Cloud City in the original Star Wars trilogy. It may be tiny but each miniature Slave I took 90 hours to make.
