This Futuristic Strike Kit Makes the KRYTAC Maxim 9 Look Even More Like a Sci-Fi Sidearm

KRYTAC SilencerCo Maxim 9 Strike Front Kit Type-S

Most airsoft guns strive toward realism, you know, like replicating real-life firearms. Not the KRYTAC SilencerCo Maxim 9 GBB, though. It looks like something Judge Dredd or RoboCop would use.

That said, as if the SilencerCo Maxim 9 is not sci-fi-looking enough already, Osaka-based airsoft hobby accessories outfit LayLax has a custom part that makes the gun look even more futuristic and intimidating. And no, that is not a meat tenderizer, though it very well may be.

Called the Strike Front Kit Type-S, it is a custom front-end replacement for the Maxim 9. It adds a chunky strike-face design with sharp square spikes machined from aluminum alloy, which Judge Dredd is probably happy to have.

But it is not all about looks and intimidation. The custom front-end replacement piece has practical uses, too. And no, again, not tenderizing meat.

The kit also improves usability for close-quarters play. It includes a fiber-optic front sight for faster target acquisition and supports an optional tracer unit, meaning players can still use glow BB functionality for indoor or night games after installing the kit.

Like, how cool is that? I mean, now it not only looks futuristic, it kind of functions in a futuristic way too. Pretty cool stuff if you own a KRYTAC SilencerCo Maxim 9.

The Strike Front Kit Type-S is from LayLax’s in-house sub-brands, focused on handgun customization and upgrade parts for airsoft guns, Nine Ball Handgun Improvement System.

There’s a catch. It is not available online internationally. It is only available on the LayLax online store for 5,800 yen before tax [JP] (around US$39) for folks residing in Japan. However, you can check out LayLax retailers around the world here.
