LEGO’s Arkham Batmobile Lets Batman Go Off-Road and Turn Gold In-Game

LEGO DC Arkham Batman Batmobile 67009

Batman has enough vehicles to fill a parking garage, but LEGO would like to remind you that there is always room for another. Following the Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck, the LEGO DC Arkham Batman Batmobile (67009) brings another ride with a little cross-promotion tucked into the building instructions.

This time, it is the armored beast familiar to fans of the Arkham games, well, the LEGO-lized version, of course. The 317-piece build trades the Burton car’s long, theatrical silhouette for something that looks much more comfortable driving through an obstacle than around it.

It has functional suspension, too. So, yes, you can put the included caped Batman minifigure in the cockpit and send him over uneven terrain. A removable rear panel reveals a hidden storage compartment, giving the Dark Knight somewhere to stash things without leaving them on the passenger seat. Not that there is one.

As with set 67008, the building instructions include a QR code for a digital bonus in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Follow the redemption instructions to unlock the Golden Red Brick, which adds a gold effect to characters and vehicles. Because being an armored car shaped like a bat evidently isn’t conspicuous enough. Plus, what’s a billionaire vigilante without the bling, right? Obviously, you will need the game to enjoy that part.

Designed for ages nine and up, the completed Batmobile measures over 16 cm (6 inches) long, 8 cm (3 inches) wide, and 7 cm (2.5 inches) high.

The LEGO DC Arkham Batman Batmobile (67009) arrives on January 1, 2027, for US$29.99.
