I am a huge fan of roller coasters, and so whenever LEGO drops a new coaster set, you can bet I’ll be talking about it. Well, today is one of those days. Joining LEGO’s growing lineup of brick-built rail-guided thrill rides—which already includes the Space Roller Coaster, the Loop Coaster, the Roller Coaster set (10261), and more—is a new attraction fit for a LEGO City amusement park: the LEGO City Lava Land Roller Coaster Park (60501).
Designed for kids 8 and up, the 60501 features a 3-car coaster that you can launch from the summit of the volcano, sending it zooming through the circuit, triggering a tumbling lava boulder, and passing impending dangers like a spewing volcano mouth and a giant rock monster, as well as less “stressful” scenes like a carousel toy with four mine cart cars circling a rock crystal, a rock-candy stall, an arcade machine, and a souvenir stand and photo desk.
The set comes with minifigures of staff and patrons to the thrill rides. All told, there are eight minifigures—one of which is wearing a hidden disabilities sunflower lanyard—along with various minifigure accessories. When completed, the model measures a pretty impressive 54 cm (21 inches) wide, 27 cm (10.5 inches) deep, and 27 cm (10.5 inches) tall.
The LEGO City Lava Land Roller Coaster Park (60501) will be available starting August 01, 2026, for US$99.99.
