If you have been longing for a proper Wall•E and EVE set since the LEGO BrickHeadz EVE & WALL•E in 2023, well, the wait is over. In fact, the LEGO Disney Wall-E and EVE (43279) was out since September 01.
I was meaning to share this, but unfortunately, it slipped. I have sat on this one for way too long. Anyhoo, so here it is, the first proper—and official—duo from Disney’s hit animated film, Wall•E. It is three years short of two decades since Wall•E hit theaters, and so this set is definitely “a bit of nostalgia.”
The set packs 811 elements that let you recreate the robotic couple—that’s Wall•E and EVE for the under-the-rock dwellers—as well as side characters M-O and Hal. When completed, Wall•E, EVE, and M-O offer some level of posability through the heads and arms. And yes, you can totally make Wall•E hold EVE’s hand. As for Hal, well, it’s a roach formed with a few bricks and so… no, it has no posability whatsoever. It can, however, ride on Wall•E and M-O.
Wall•E boasts functional tracks that roll, and M-O rocks a spinning brush. EVE is on a transparent blue brick-built stand. I guess the transparent blue stand mimics the thruster trail as she hovers. Though I don’t recall EVE having a trail as she hovers and flies.
The set is complete with the legendary boot with the small seedling tree in it, and a compacted cube of “trash.” The boot with the plant can be placed inside EVE for transportation, and the trash can go into Wall•E to simulate that the trash has been compacted.
The tallest of the bunch is over 5 inches, or 13 cm. The LEGO Disney Wall-E and EVE (43279) can be had as we speak for US$69.99.
