I’ll be perfectly honest. I am not a huge fan of the LEGO Brickheadz series (though I do have a thing for the Brickheadz Spice Girls set). In fact, I am not a fan of the cute versions of anything. However, there’s an upcoming LEGO Brickheadz which I can actually agree on. Folks, meet the LEGO Brickheadz EVE & WALL•E from the Pixar Animated Studios’ 2008 animated film.
Brickheadz’s square-ish form is a perfect fit for WALL•E. While we can’t say the same for EVE, we applauded the effort of LEGO designer(s) in trying to make EVE with as many curves as possible (not sexy kind of curves, mind you). The result is pretty cool.
Each buildable LEGO figure comes with its own baseplate for display. Little EVE gets an additional transparent element to create the effect of it hovering. Meanwhile, WALL•E is armed with a red toolbox and the miracle of life: a small plant element.
The 155-piece looks cool and all, marred only by the existence of stickers. The WALL•E logo on the torso and the eyes are stickers that really should have been printed parts. Most of my LEGO with stickers applied did not end up well. I couldn’t even look at my Spongebob. Everything is peeling off. Ugh.
I could agree with the LEGO Brickheadz EVE & WALL•E but stickers are a dealbreaker for me. When completed, WALL•E stands over 1.5 in. (5 cm) high and EVE stands over 3 in. (8 cm) high.
