It is not just this set that will break your bank. There are so many iconic Harry Potter locations, it will break your bank if every single one of them was to be a LEGO set. Anyhoo, so yes, Gringotts Wizarding Bank from the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2 is now a LEGO set made for adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) and yes, it is expensive – more on that in a jiffy – but to be fair (again), the LEGO Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors’ Edition (76417) packs 4,803 pieces and it is huge.
The set includes the exterior, the main banking hall, and the underground vault, complete with a mine-cart rollercoaster. Moreover, it includes the Ukranian Ironbelly Dragon which you can place on top of the building to recreate the scene from the movie.
Also included is a buildable model of the Magical Menagerie shop and a whopping 13 minifigures that include Harry Potter, Rubeus Hagrid, Dragomir Despard, Ron Weasley, Bellatrix Lestrange, Hermione Granger, Griphook, Bogrod, Ricbert, a Death Eater, two goblin bankers, and two guards.
The set is compatible with the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley set. But you will have to sacrifice the underground vault section for the super cool street setup. Well, unless you are prepared to build a ground level for it.
Anyhoo… when completed, the Gringotts Bank section measures over 14.5 in. (36 cm) high, 12.5 in. (32 cm) wide, and 10 in. (25 cm) deep. The entire model, including the dragon perched on top and the underground vault, measures over 29.5 in. (75 cm) high.
The LEGO Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors’ Edition (76417) set is scheduled to arrive on September 04, 2023, for a cool US$429.99.
