The Renault 5 Turbo 3E may not hit the streets until 2027, but it has already found its way into LEGO Ideas. Created by Devon-Bricks, aka Dave Collins, this proposed set recreates Renault’s retro-futuristic electric hot hatch in brick form at approximately 1:12 scale.
Inspired by the upcoming 500+ bhp rear-wheel-drive EV, the model captures the aggressive rally-inspired styling, boxy fenders, and iconic livery that pays tribute to the original Renault 5 Turbo. According to Collins, the build took around three months to complete, with countless tweaks along the way to perfect the proportions and details.
Part love letter to an Eighties dream car and part celebration of an electric performance icon, this is one LEGO Ideas proposal that deserves a closer look—and LEGO’s approval.
