LEGO Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel (40955) Recreates ANE MÆRSK in 1,516 Pieces

LEGO Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel 40955

At this point, the LEGO Maersk Line Triple-E is more like a mythical set since it wasn’t on the market very long—about 11 months and 30 days, to be precise. If you missed it and want one, well, you’d be paying an arm or a leg (or maybe even both) on the open market.

Thankfully, you do not have to—that is, if you are willing to settle for a modern Maersk vessel. That’s right, my fellow ship-adoring LEGO enthusiasts, Maersk is back in bricks. Folks, meet the LEGO Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel (40955), a 1,516-piece brick-built set that recreates Maersk’s first 16,200 TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship, ANE MÆRSK.

Recommended for ages 12 and up, the pioneering Ane Mærsk is a true icon leading the charge for sustainable shipping. At over 7 in. (18 cm) high, 23.5 in. (60 cm) long, and 4.5 in. (12 cm) wide when completed, this set is large enough for a boatload of details, including an opening bridge section with crew quarters, transparent engine-room windows, slide-out gangways, and buildable containers.

It may be a set designated for kids, but it is equally collectible. Speaking of collectibility, a display base with a nameplate featuring the vessel’s stats gives the set proper collector cred. The set boasts both printed elements and stickers—hopefully more of the former and less of the latter.

The LEGO Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel (40955) is set to drop on March 1, 2026, for a grand US$149.99.
